Everything you need to know about breast augmentation
Breast augmentation is one of the most common body contouring procedures in plastic surgery. For this purpose, our plastic and aesthetic surgery practice only uses the latest-generation implants of the highest quality from the only manufacturer in Germany.
The implants have a highly sophisticated multi-layered shell that prevents the silicone from 'bleeding'. It also avoids the routine replacement of implants after 10 years that used to be the rule.
The gel filling in the breast implants is a silicone gel, which has a gelatinous texture. This means that the implants feel natural in the body but cannot leak.
All breasts and bodies are unique, so each breast augmentation requires individual planning and the appropriate breast implant. When selecting the breast implant, we have many different shapes and sizes to choose from to achieve the ideal result for your breast augmentation.
In a personal consultation, the size of the breast implants is measured using a special bra system. This allows you to get a feeling for what your breast volume will look like after the breast augmentation.
The incision can either be made in the inframammary fold or at the edge of the areola. Also, the breast implant can be positioned above or under the pectoral muscle. In the consultation, together we will establish the best implant position and surgical access.
Thanks to state-of-the-art instruments, the incisions can be very short and will therefore heal discreetly after the operation. During the procedure, test implants are used to make sure that the result meets your wishes before the final implants are inserted. After the operation, you will be given a personal implant card containing all the necessary information about your breast implants.
