Everything you need to know about lower eyelid lift
Excess skin around the lower eyelids quickly leads to a tired and exhausted appearance. In the advanced stages, bags under the eyes can develop, making the face look much older. This is usually due to fatty tissue under the eye, which is sharply defined at the point of attachment of the lower eyelid septum to the bone (so-called arcus marginalis).
During the lower eyelid lift, the fatty tissue is redistributed to create a soft transition in this area. This means that only a small amount of skin has to be removed. The result looks natural, and as little pull as possible is exerted on the lower eyelid. To effectively prevent the lower eyelid from protruding from the eyeball, the lower eyelid lift is often combined with a muscular suspension on the side. This effectively prevents the formation of a so-called "watery eye".
If desired, the lower eyelid lift can be combined with an upper eyelid lift. I will be happy to explain all the details in a personal consultation.
