Everything you need to know about anti-wrinkle injections
Throughout our lives, our facial skin is exposed to a variety of stress factors. Exhaustion, smoking and intense sun exposure leave their traces, as does the activity of the facial muscles. They can all lead to increased wrinkling.
Not every wrinkle requires the same treatment, so it is essential to first analyse what is bothering you and choose the appropriate technique or product for the therapy accordingly.
One possibility of anti-wrinkle therapy is anti-wrinkle injections with products containing hyaluronic acid (so-called fillers). Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the skin, which is significantly responsible for the skin's moisture content. When the skin loses more and more hyaluronic acid over the years, it also loses elasticity, making it more likely that wrinkles will appear.
With anti-wrinkle injections, the products are placed directly into or under the wrinkle to lift it. The effect is immediately visible. In addition, the fluid content of the skin is increased. A permanent alternative is injecting one's own fat (Find out more: Lipofilling).
You can also use fillers or your own fat to add volume to the lips, reduce dark circles under the eyes or give your midface a more youthful fullness.
Treatment with botulinum toxin A is probably the most common therapy in the field of aesthetic surgery for the treatment of wrinkles. In this procedure, the treated muscles are temporarily paralysed, which causes the wrinkles that have been deepened by the pull of the muscle to smooth out again. The aim is to weaken the corresponding muscle to such an extent that the formation of wrinkles is inhibited while your natural facial expression is preserved.
Furthermore, the eyebrow, for example, can be raised by deliberately weakening the muscles underneath, thus making your gaze more open. The effect sets in after a few days, but at the latest after 2 weeks, and it lasts for around 6 months.
A therapy for wrinkle injections with hyaluronic acid can usefully complement the treatment with botulinum toxin if necessary. I will be happy to explain all the details in a personal consultation.
As you can see, the application possibilities are numerous and go far beyond anti-wrinkle injections.
