INTRODUCTION
Lipoedema
The condition is characterised by disproportionation caused by an increase in subcutaneous fat tissue on the arms and legs in contrast to the trunk. Furthermore, it causes tension, pain, and a tendency to bruise easily in the affected areas. These fat deposits cannot be influenced by exercise and diet.
Gentle harvesting
The WAL system (water-jet assisted liposuction) allows fat cells to be removed gently and sustainably.

Everything you need to know about lipoedema
Lipedema is a condition of the subcutaneous fatty tissue and the lymphatic system.
Class 2 compression garments and manual or mechanical lymphatic drainage can temporarily reduce the feelings of tension and pain. The disadvantage is that they have to be worn or applied permanently. Compression garments can be very uncomfortable, especially in summer, and cannot always prevent the disease from progressing.
The only effective therapy is liposuction, which removes the subcutaneous fat tissue, thus reducing the tissue pressure. This makes improved lymphatic drainage possible, which is noticeable in a significant reduction in pain and the sensation of tension.
Not every type of liposuction is suitable for treating lipedema. At Klasmeyer Aesthetics, we use a particularly gentle method of liposuction, the WAL method (water-jet assisted liposuction). In this method, the fatty tissue is gently detached from the tissue by means of a pulsed water jet and removed by suction. This protects important structures such as lymphatic channels, blood vessels and nerves, which means that you will be back on your feet more quickly and regain your agility and zest for life.
The aim of the treatment is to reduce pain and feelings of tension, as well as to normalise the body proportions and prevent the condition from progressing.
